Kimera 037 - Louisa

Kimera 037 - Louisa

The model is produced by Kimera Automobili, which took inspiration from the iconic Lancia Rally 037 of the 1980s (Group B model) and created a modern reinterpretation, the EVO37 restomod.

The EVO37 maintains many aesthetic traits of the original 037 (round headlights, low profile, sporty stance) but with modern materials, updated technology, and significantly higher power. The name "EVO37" precisely recalls the original 037 and the idea of evolution.

Engine: Inline 4-cylinder of about 2.1 liters (2150 cc) with dual supercharging: volumetric compressor ("Volumex" type) + turbocharger.

Power: about 505 HP and torque around 550 Nm.

Traction: rear-wheel drive (RWD) — different from the original rally 037 which was integral? (the Rally 037 was two-wheel drive, but in competition it was rear-wheel drive) — but in the case of the EVO37, rear-wheel drive is confirmed.

Chassis and materials: extensive use of carbon fiber, kevlar, titanium, aluminum; reinforced tubular structure.

Limited production: only 37 units planned.

It is a "modern" tribute to a historic car dear to rally fans, the Lancia 037. Kimera involved technicians who originally worked on those models to maintain the spirit.

It offers very high performance while maintaining a design evocative of the historic model, thus a mix between nostalgia and contemporary technology.

For many collectors, it represents a very exclusive piece given the limited number of units.

Having seen the car at an event in Lombardore, it was probably one of the displayed units: note any unique details (special livery, personalized plates) because in such limited editions, each car often has unique characteristics.

If it was called "Louisa," it could be a nickname given to the unit by the owner or an internal baptismal name (some collection cars are "named"). I did not find public sources officially confirming "Louisa" as a name given by the manufacturer.

It would be useful to photograph details such as the chassis number, the dashboard, the interior finishes: they could indicate if it is a "special" or customized version.
